Introducing Legislation to Change Definition of Red-Light Camera Violation

Writer: ceccarebceccareb

Brian Ceccarelli PE, Paul Stam Esq. and Kevin Lacy PE of the NCDOT are introducing a bill into the North Carolina legislature. The bill changes NCGS 160A-300.1's definition of a violation to "a violation occurs when a vehicle enters the intersection after the all-red clearance interval terminates." This wording holds red-light camera firms to their advertisement that their product is about safety.
